Long time Hobart resident and volunteer, Cathy Jackson, stepped into the Director’s position this past May. Cathy is a Hobart High School graduate and is married with two adult children and two grandchildren, who keep her pretty busy when she is not spending time at the Food Pantry. Cathy is responsible for the overall operation of the Food Pantry including scheduling volunteers for packing bags and picking up donations on a weekly basis, distribution to clients two mornings each week, plus stocking shelves, ordering milk, eggs and meat each week, ordering non-perishables such as canned goods and boxed items, maintaining our facility and making sure clients are served in a timely and respectful manner. This is a very short list of everything Cathy does weekly to keep the Hobart Food Pantry running smoothly! We are happy and thankful that Cathy has stepped into this new role!
